The Sony Cyber-Shot Camera

The Sony Cyber-Shot H9 is an enhanced version of the H8. While both have a 8.1 MP resolution, the H9 has some great add ons which give the digital camera an edge over its little brother.

The Sony Cyber-Shot H9 has an impressive super- large tilting 3-inch (7.5cm) LCD screen, in addition to an electronic viewfinder. Another cool feature on the H9 is the NightShot Mode which helps in shooting in complete darkness using infra-red technology. With all these features, the Cyber-Shot H9 is a great for both casual and more advance users.

The camera has been equipped with a CARL ZEISS 15x optical zoom lens which is capable of 25.5x HD smart zoom, 30x digital zoom, up to 76x smart zoom and the popular Sony Sony Face Detection technology which in conjunction with BIONZ imaging processor picks up faces form the crowd and focuses on them and adjusts exposure, flash with red-eye reduction, white balance and colour settings accordingly.

One also comes across double anti-blur technology, which combats image blur and teams up with an extremely high sensitivity of ISO 3200 (REI*) to get crystal clear results. The Sony H9 also supports full HD output which lets one view their images on on any BRAVIA television or HD-ready displays and can capture VGA 30fps with audio in MOvie Mode.

The Sony Cyber-Shot H9 will be available throughout Europe from mid April and comes bundled with rechargeable battery, charger, AV & USB cables, remote control, lens adaptor ring, lens hood, lens cap, shoulder strap and software. Some other features found on the H9 include; PictBridge support, BIONZ processor for improved picture quality and high speed operation, In-camera retouching, including red-eye correction and trimming and STHD slideshow with music for playback on camera LCD screen or a HD TV (16:9), supplied with remote control, and STAMINA battery life, up to 260 shots (CIPA standard with LCD screen on).
